Placer gold research, Yukon

For the past 30 years I have been exploring and communicating Yukon’s surficial geology. This has included placer gold deposit studies, mineral exploration-related surficial geochemistry, ice age reconstructions, landslide studies, and most recently, the geological context of Nun cho ga - North America’s best preserved woolly mammoth.

Services I provide include: surficial mapping, placer exploration and development planning, and support with reclamation guidance. In the mineral exploration industry I assist with planning surficial geochemistry programs in both glaciated or unglaciated terrain.

Exploration

Provide leadership for surficial geology-related scientific programs aimed at discovery and understanding. This includes assisting First Nation governments with Quaternary geology, geomorphology research and training.

Discovery

I am particularly passionate about sharing my knowledge of Earth’s wonders with the public through field excursions, presentations, film, photography, writing, and grade-school education.

Communication
